You are strong, so much stronger than the bullies you’re fighting against. You are love, flowing out in words and deeds. You are democracy in action, showing the rest of the country what it means to make our voices heard. And you are an inspiration. I’m sitting in the middle of red bible-belt country, stuck in so many varying closets I feel like I’m covered in moth-balls, and I went to my first protest day-before-yesterday. Thanks for reminding me that sometimes you have to step out into the light and make some noise in order to make a change. In this winter of chaos, may you stay warm (as possible), may you stay safe (as possible), and may you see the changes (for the better) that you’re making every day.
