“There is really nothing that I can write that would adequately describe the current circumstances in your city and in other cities around the nation. I want you to know that I stand with you in your grief and horror, fear and absolutely justified anger. There is no justification whatsoever for violence and terrorism that our government is inflicting on the people of your city and this nation and all of its inhabitants. I want to genuinely thank you and support you in your bravery, standing up what could be described as a violent, murderous and illegal occupation of your city. You give me hope that there are people still willing to stand up to horrific violence and an ever advancing fascist government and its supporters. I can only imagine what you must be feeling. You are the best of America and I am so grateful for your resistance and for your strength and moral fortitude. Thank you for your heart and perseverance. Please know that we are watching and you are not alone. You give us hope and inspire us with your bravery.”
