“Please know that people in this tiny village have been demonstrating daily from noon to 1 for democracy and against the administrations’s many crimes without missing a day since last February (one year anniversary comes up for us soon). The weekend after Renee’s murder we held a memorial circle during the demonstration, including a local minister’s recitation of two poems in her honor. Our signs that day were new ones against ICE. Many of us individually then donated to charities in Minneapolis that were helping get food etc to people housebound to avoid ICE. All this is to say I am thinking of you and we are dedicated to being in solidarity with you.”
