Signs of Community Everywhere

“Thank you for all you are doing for your neighbors and for each other. I lived in Minneapolis for four years and loved so many things about the city, not least of which was the way I saw signs of community everywhere I went. I am descended from refugees and immigrants who had to fight to make this country accept them, a fight which is still ongoing. As I attend protests and support mutual aid groups in Brooklyn, I think of my friends and community members doing the same in Minneapolis. Stand strong, support each other, and know that the rest of the country has your backs, even if the news and social media make it hard for that to seem true. We see you and we hear you and we are here for you.”
